Shaitan is owned & operated by Henry Metz and Iris Moesing. Henry and Iris left their homeland Germany and sailed to the Caribbean, where they have spent the last nine years together working and living on a boat.

      Henry has been sailing for over twenty years. He served as a navigator in the Navy and went on to several Atlantic crossings on a 29 ft. sloop. In addition to his racing experience, Henry is a divemaster and sailing instructor. Besides sailing and other sports associated with water, Henry loves to build and create - all evident in some of the custom refitting done on Shaitan by Henry himself.

      Iris has crossed the Atlantic with Henry on a 29 ft. sloop. She is a diving instructor and can certify you during your stay on the Shaitan. Iris has served as cook on crewed charter yachts for nine years and is a four-time prize winner in the Grand Marnier cooking competition. She enjoys horseback riding, flower arranging and eating good food. The underwater experience is very special to Iris and she particularly enjoys bringing that same appreciation to others.

      Elsie also resides on Shaitan. She loves people and will bring many playful moments to your stay. Full of endless energy, the crew is active, and they love to play.
