The cruise terminal belonging to the port of Savona has been
constructed on a site from the old commercial area. The
Terminal is characterised by a number of wide squares intended
for handling and for parking alongside the quay: more than
20,000 sq m divided in two of moorings, 1,000 sqm for luggage
re-consignment and a completely restored hall transformed into
two waiting rooms of more than 1,000 sqm. Through sheltered
passages, passengers can get to the embarking gate as well as
to the luggage re-consignment hall.
The two moorings, named zones 9 and 10, have draughts ranging
from 8 to 10 metres. The neighbouring nautical pole is already
able to provide 500 boat moorings with wide spaces
particularly intended for super yachts. The port can provide a
wide range of services: water supply, telephone on board,
ships waste collection, up-to date information on
weather-forecast, etc.

The connections between the cruise
port of Savona and the means of communications (motorways,
railways and airport) is rapid and easy, due to the small
dimensions of the town: at a distance of 500 metres there is a
railway station; the motorway can be reached within a little more
than a kilometre. Thanks to the above mentioned motorway, the 'Cristoforo
Colombo' airport can be reached in twenty minutes by car, as well
as the Nice- Cote d'Azur Airport and the Malpensa Airport is one
and a half-hour away. The motorway network allows one to get to
France, through the border at Ventimiglia; Switzerland and
Germany, through the northern Italian cities of Turin or
Alessandria-Novara, and Rome and Venice through La Spezia or
Piacenza.
